Katie Thomson Aitken is a licensed naturopathic doctor practicing in Guelph Ontario. Katie has a general practice and enjoys helping patients with all kinds of health goals achieve positive changes in their health and in their life. She has a passion for mental health, the management of stress and anxiety, and helping individuals connect with their higher purpose. Katie believes everyone can live a happy, healthy, and authentic life.
Katie began her journey to become a naturopathic doctor after experiencing the benefits of naturopathic medicine in her own life. She attended the University of Guelph where she received an honours bachelor degree in Art and Science, with double minors in nutritional science and theatre studies. Afterwards, Katie attended the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, a 4 year post graduate program, and received her Bachelor of Naturopathy.
In addition to her formal education Katie has studied reiki and biolinguistic kinesiology (a form of energetic testing). She is a self-taught cook who strongly believes that learning to prepare nourishing food is one of the most empowering things you can do for your health.
Katie lives in Guelph with her husband and daughter. When she is not working, Katie likes to go for walks in her neighbourhood, cook delicious food to share with friends, and sing along to the radio just a little bit louder than she probably should.
